Unidentified gunmen open fired toward a vehicle, while passing in Quirich area, south of Baghdad, killing its driver on the spot.

1 casual police member was killed when an IED fitted beneath his vehicle exploded as he passed through al-Resala neighborhood in Abu Gharib.

4 civilians were killed and nine others were wounded when attackers, presumably from the Islamic State, boarding booby-trapped cars, targeted checkpoints on the Kirkuk-Baghdad road in Diyala.

KIRKUK

An IED explosion took place near a pipeline in Bai Hassan oilfield, causing a fire. Firefighters are trying to put out the blaze. 1 member of the Kurdish security forces was killed, while 2 others were wounded when 3 more bombs exploded in the area of the first blast.
