(1) 11 June, Suicide bomb
A suicide bomber driving a booby-trapped car targeted security checkpoint on the main road between Baghdad and Kirkuk at midnight, leaving 2 persons killed and 5 injured. The attacker was intending to pass through the security barrier toward Baghdad, however, he blew up the car as security personnel asked to check the car.

BAGHDAD

(1) 9 June, Al-Rashid, IED
A bomb placed on the side of the road in al-Rashid town, south of Baghdad, exploded targeting a police patrol. 1 personnel was killed, while 2 others were injured.

(2) 9 June, Al-Wardiya, IED
3 civilians were wounded in a bomb blast near a market in south of Baghdad. The bomb was placed on the roadside near a market in al-Wardiya region in Mada'in district, south of Baghdad.

KARBALA

(1) 9 June, Karbala, Suicide bomb
A suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt in a market east of the Shi’ite holy city of Karbala, killing at least 20 and wounding 25
