A bomb placed near a market exploded leaving 5 people wounded in Abu Ghraib, west of Baghdad.

(2) 14 December, Al-Taji, IED
A bomb, placed near stores at al-Taji district, north of Baghdad, went off leaving a person killed and 6 others wounded.

(3) 12 December, Jisr Diyala, IED
An explosive charge went off near a cafe at Jisr Diyala area in southeastern Baghdad, injuring 6 people.

(4) 11 December, Al-Shu'ala, IED
Unidentified gunmen hurled a bomb at a house in al-Shu’ala neighborhood in Baghdad, injuring 2 people.

SALAH AL DIN

(1) 15 December, Al-Howeish, Suicide Attack
2 persons were killed, while 6 others were wounded in a suicide attack that was launched against Saraya al-Salam (Peace Brigades) in al-Howeish region, northwest of Samarra

(2) 12 December, Tuz Khurmatu
5 mortar shells were fired from a Kurdish-controlled mountainous area towards Tuz Khurmatu city, leaving 2 people dead and 20 others injured.

KIRKUK

(1) 17 December, Teseen, IED
Unidentified gunmen have attacked a security patrol in central Kirkuk. The bomb attack targeted a patrol of Emergency Police at Teseen neighborhood in Kirkuk.

NINAWA

(1) 17 December, Mosul, IED
A suicide bomber was killed before blowing himself up outside a house in Mosul. A bomber with an explosive belt was killed after one of the bombs he was carrying exploded while trying to blow himself up outside a house owned by the father of the former mayor of Mosul.

(2) 13 December, Mosul, IED
3 Iraqi Federal Police members were killed in a blast that targeted their patrol in western Mosul. An advanced explosive device exploded in a 5-vehicle police patrol passing at Hakna, Zummar, west of Mosul, killing 3 members and wounding a fourth.

(3) 13 December, Mosul, IED
Unidentified gunmen hurled a bomb at a house owned by a brother of an IS militant at al-Askari (military) district south of Mosul, injuring 3 people.

(4) 11 December, Zummar, IED
2 Federal Police agents were wounded when an IED blast targeted their vehicle in Zummar, northwest of Mosul.

DIYALA

(1) 14 December, Baqubah, IED
An explosive charge planted on the side of an agricultural road south of Miqdadiyah city, Baqubah, went off, while a vehicle driven by a farmer was passing by the area.
