(1) Incident Type : BOARD >> KIDNAP  /  Vessel Type : FISHING TRAWLER

A fleet of 25 fishing trawlers were targeted by a group of robbers whilst carrying out operations. Once the robbers boarded the fishing trawlers they stole ship's property and then abducted a total of 47 fishermen.

A Cargo vessel at anchor was boarded and robbed. This was discovered when items from the engine room workshop were noticed to be missing. No crew members were harmed.
