A Panamanian flagged tanker was attacked whilst underway approximately 20nm South of Bonga Field. The attack and attempt to board by the pirates was aborted when a nearby Naval gun boat came to support the tanker. Naval gun boat is escorting the tanker to safety and l the vessel is safe.
