(1) Incident Type : BOARDED |  Vessel Type : CONTAINER
2050UTC | 15 August | Posn: 14-33.90N 120-55.59E | Manila South Harbor Anchorage, Philippines

 

Robbers attempted to board a container vessel at Manila South Harbour Anchorage. Duty crew conducting security rounds, noticed 2 robbers attempting to open the cover of the starboard hawse pipe to gain access to the ship. The alarm was raised and the crew mustered. Upon hearing the alarm and seeing the alerted crew, the robbers escaped into a waiting boat containing 3 more persons. A full search was conducted but nothing was reported as stolen. 

 

 

 

(2) Incident Type : BOARDED |  Vessel Type : PRODUCT TANKER
2155UTC | 13 August |  Posn: 05-48.34N 118-04.57E | Sandakan, Malaysia

2 robbers attempted to board a berthed chemical tanker at Sandakan port. Duty crew spotted the robbers and raised the alarm which resulted in the robbers escaping.
