1520UTC | 24 February | Posn: 03-38.00N 006-42.00E | Southwest of Brass Terminal, Nigeria

A vessel was attacked approximately 36nm southwest of Brass Terminal. 10 armed pirates in a speedboat opened fire towards the ship. The armed guards onboard the vessel returned fire, which resulted in the pirates aborting their attack.

(2) Incident Type : ATTACK | Vessel Type : TANKER
1022UTC | 24 February | Posn: 03-35.00N 007-02.00E | South of Bonny, Nigeria

A tanker was attacked 40nm south of Bonny. The pirates on board a speed boat chased the vessel with the speed of 20kts. After 30 minutes the pirates discontinued the chase. A ladder and 2 mounted machine guns were sighted on the speed boat.

(3) Incident Type : BOARD (ROBBERY) | Vessel Type : PASSENGER BOAT
0900UTC | 22 February | Posn: 04-40.00N 005-51.00E | Southern Ijaw, Nigeria

A robbery took place onboard a passenger boat whilst underway in the Ekeni-Forupa waterways, Southern Ijaw. Armed robbers boarded the vessel and stole all the passenger's valuables before escaping.

2112UTC | 22 February | Posn: 03-26.00N 050-27.00E | Somali Coast, Indian Ocean

A vessel was attacked by 3 skiffs and shots were fired. Fire was returned by the onboard security team resulting in the skiffs moving away.

(5) Incident Type : ATTACK | Vessel Type : OFFSHORE SUPPLY VESSEL
1220UTC | 22 February | Posn: 03-30.00N 006-31.00E | Southwest of Bonny, Nigeria

An offshore supply vessel was attacked whilst underway approximately 65nm southwest of Bonny. A white hulled boat with up to 8 armed men on board made 2 approaches and fired shots at the vessel. The offshore supply vessel's armed security team returned fire resulting in the pirates aborting their attack. No injuries to the crew and vessel reported safe.
