(1) Incident Type : SUSPICIOUS APPROACH | Vessel Type: TUG BOAT
1500UTC | 22 July | Posn: 01-35.60N 001-41.30E | Offshore Ghana

An Italian flagged tug boat was approached whilst underway, 264nm Southeast of Accra. The Duty Officer spotted a fishing vessel lowering 2 red and grey skiffs into the water, each with up to 4 persons onboard. The skiffs began to approach the tug at high speed. The Master raised the alarm, headed into the swell and increased speed resulting in the skiffs aborting their approach.

(2) Incident Type : ATTACK | Vessel Type: CARGO VESSEL
1422UTC | 22 July | Posn: 01-06.32N 044-02.00E | South of Barawa, Somalia

A vessel was attacked 1nm South of Barawa. The vessel is reported safe and is now in the port of Barawa. No further information is available at this time.
