1150UTC | 25 September | Posn: 02-45.50N 006-39.20E | Southwest of Akpo Terminal, Nigeria

A tanker was attacked whilst underway, 25nm Southwest of Akpo terminal. 1 black speedboat with up to 7 armed pirates onboard approached and fired 2 shots at the tanker. The crew onboard an escort vessel that was rendezvousing with the tanker, spotted the attack and took chase after the pirates. The pirates escaped in a South westerly direction.

Robbers boarded an anchored vessel at Pointe Noire anchorage. 2 robbers armed with knives were spotted onboard, the alarm was raised which resulted in the robbers making their escape with stolen items of ships property.
