A Robbery occurred on a tanker whilst anchored at Apapa, Lagos. During discharging operations, robbers onboard several motorized wooden canoes came alongside the tanker, cut the fuel line and stole an undisclosed amount of product. The robbers were spotted and alarm raised. A nearby Naval vessel was tasked to assist, however, the robbers escaped before the Naval vessel could reach the tanker's location.

0045UTC | 14 October | Posn: 06-17.33N 003-13.47E | Lagos anchorage, Nigeria

2 robbers boarded an anchored tanker at Lagos anchorage area. The duty watchman discovered the robbers resulting in them escaping by jumping overboard. An investigation was carried out which revealed that nothing had been stolen.
