A tanker was boarded by robbers whilst anchored in Lagos STS Anchorage. The tanker was carrying out ship to ship operations when 2 robbers managed to board the tanker, once onboard they connected hoses to the ullage ports of the forward cargo tanks. On duty crew spotted the robbers and raised the alarm, resulting in the robbers escaping. This incident was reported to the Nigerian Navy patrol boat, who then searched the surrounding area. No cargo was stolen during this incident.
