(1) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK Three Chinese fishing boats have been boarded whilst underway and operating
offshore Idenao resulting in eight fishermen of Chinese nationality being abducted. The incident occurred during the night
hours of 22nd and 23rd February 2019
.
(2) Incident Type : GENERAL ALERT A tanker was approached whilst underway approximately 60nm south west of Aden by 2
skiffs which came to within one cable of the vessel. No further details are currently available, but it will be continued
to monitor and will update accordingly
.
UNKNON TIME | 23 February | Posn: 04-45.00N 001-46.00E | GHANA Robbers were able to board an anchored cargo vessel at Takoradi Anchorage. Robbers boarded the
cargo vessel between 00:00 and 04:00 local time, stole twenty cans of paint and escaped unnoticed. The theft was
discovered by duty crew conducting routine rounds.
