SHIELD INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

(1) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY |  Vessel Type: TANKER      
2112 UTC | 18 November | Posn: 01-16.67N 104-14.45E | Singapore Strait

An attempted robbery occurred on a Tanker whilst underway in the Eastbound lane of Traffic Separation Scheme. Up to 3 robbers were spotted onboard, at 2215UTC the Captain confirmed that the crew were safe, no robbers were found on board and no ship's items were missing.

(2) Incident Type : ATTEMPTED ROBBERY |  Vessel Type: BULK CARRIER      
1455 UTC | 17 November | Posn: 01-15.20N 104-04.32E | Singapore Strait

Robbers were able to board a bulk carrier whilst underway in the Eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme. The Master reported to the Vessel Traffic Information Service that three robbers were spotted
escaping from the stern of the bulk carrier. A full search was conducted which confirmed that all crew were safe and nothing had been stolen.

(3) Incident Type : SUSPICIOUS APPROACH |  Vessel Type: TANKER      
0435 UTC | 17 November | Posn: 05-04.00N 001-07.00E | Gulf of Guinea

A Tanker was approached whilst underway approximately 65nm South-southwest of Lome, Togo. One skiff, with an unknown number of persons on board, approached the Tanker to within 0.5nm. The incident is classed as over and the vessel and crew have confirmed they are safe.

(4) Incident Type : HIJACK |  Vessel Type: TANKER
0540 UTC | 16 November | Posn: 05-28.00N 001-25.00E | Gulf of Guinea

A Tanker was attacked whilst she was on route to Lagos. The Tankers last report via AIS shows that she was drifting at approximately 40nm South-southeast of Lome, Togo. The pirates are still onboard the tanker. The Tanker is now located 195nm South-southeast of Cotonou. Negotiations are taking place between the vessel owners and the pirates.

(5) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK |  Vessel Type: CARGO VESSEL
0400 UTC | 16 November | Posn: 03-32.07N 006-09.04E | Gulf of Guinea

A Cargo vessel was attacked whilst underway 44nm South of Brass, Nigeria. Up to 8 armed pirates were able to board the vessel and have kidnapped five crew members, all of Ghanaian nationality. The pirates destroyed navigation and communication equipment before departing the vessel, which is currently
drifting with two remaining crew members onboard.

(6) Incident Type : PIRATE ATTACK |  Vessel Type: CARGO VESSEL
1455 UTC | 13 November | Posn: 01-11.00N 005-33.00E | Gulf of Guinea

A Cargo vessel was attacked whilst underway approximately 77nm northwest of Sao Tome. A number of pirates have managed to board the vessel. The pirates have disembarked and the vessel is classed as safe, but 14 crew members were kidnapped all of Chinese nationality. An Italian warship arrived on scene to provide medical assistance to one of the remaining crew members who had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.
